We hope the half term is fangtastic (excuse the puns, we can’t resist!) and you too are managing a well earned break. We are getting excited about pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating and the annual syphoning-off of our kids chocolate stash to get us through the winter months.
For those looking for some half term inspiration we’ve got some brilliant ideas for spook-tacular crafts, so you can make your own Halloween decorations – check out the videos below and enjoy!
Howl-o-ween mummies
My kids loved making these, they’re mess free too and will make great homemade window decorations to welcome the trick-or treaters.
You’ll need:
- Black card
- Masking tape
- Pencil and scissors
- Googly eyes
Gourd-geous ghosts
For another very simple Halloween decoration that the kids can make at home try these gourd-geous ghosts! You can download a template for the ghost off the internet or draw your own on card, then simply stick on cotton wool and add googly eyes and a mouth – Ta da! Boo-tiful ghosts. Finally, fix some thread on the back to hang them around the house.
You’ll need:
- White card
- PVA glue
- Cotton wool
- Googly eyes (or black paper will be fine)
- Black paper (for the mouth)
- Pencil and scissors
- Thread
